About the Author
J. M. Barrie (1860-1937) was a Scottish playwright and novelist best remembered for creating the character Peter Pan. The mischievous boy first appeared in Barrie's novel The Little White Bird in 1902 and then later in Barrie's most famous work, Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up, which premiered on stage in 1904 and was later adapted into a novel in 1911. An imaginative tale about a boy who can fly and never ages, the story of Peter Pan continues to delight generations around the world and has become one of the most beloved children's stories of all time. Peter's magical adventures with Tinker Bell, the Darling children, and Captain Hook have been adapted into a variety of films, television shows, and musicals.

delightful story

This book tells the fascinating story of Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Darling children and their adventures in Never-Never-Never Land. They fight with pirates and enjoy their freedom. Some of the original illustrations by Alice B. Woodward are included here as well as modern plates. A nice book especially for young readers

I would give this no stars if I could. ...

I would give this no stars if I could. It was listed as 'unabridged' which must be some sort of mistake bkz it was more abridged than the chapter book I had borrowed from the library for my five-year-old… We read it four times and he was ready for the unabridged but this is definitely not it!

It doesn't have the beauty or detail of the original, BUT for a class of students with various reading disabilities, it gets the story across and piques their interest and knowledge of Peter Pan. We enjoyed it and I may use it again in future years.
