Important commentary on 1 Sam 4-6

This is an English translation of a German original. It is an important commentary on the Book of Samuel. The discussion of the Ark Narrative in 1 Sam 4-6 and 2 Sam 6 has emerged as the accepted critical theory regarding the origin of those chapters. It was followed up by Antony F. Campbell in his The Ark Narrative (SBL Dissertation Series).
