About the Author
For generations the mantle of carrying the good news of Jesus Christ has fallen on the shoulders of the men in the Hagee family. The tradition continues in the life of Matthew Hagee, a sixth-generation pastor with a heart to encourage and uplift the believer and see that the lost find Christ as Savior. Matthew began preaching at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio at 18 years of age. Since finishing his education, he serves as the associate pastor of the 18,000-member congregation in San Antonio, where he helps his father minister to the church body as well as a television audience that spans the globe.
In October 2003, Matthew married Kendal Young, who gave birth to their first child, Hannah Rose, in April 2005. Matthew and Kendal minister together in the Joshua Generation outreach at Cornerstone Church.

Solid Proverbs for Modern Life

In Response Able, Mathew Hagee basically says that while we may not be responsible for everything that happens in our lives, we are able to respond in a Godly manner to any and every obstacle or blessing that comes our way. The book covers five different spheres of life: Personal, Social, Financial, Educational, and Political.
I cannot say that there's a lot of new ground broken in the book. In fact most of it was broken in the Bible, and I for one am happy to see a book with such a firm foundation in what a responsible Christian looks like, outside of Proverbs that is. Those of us who follow Christ live in an upside down world where the first is last and the last if first, where one must be a servant to be great. Hagee makes it clear that he believes in this system and thus presents a Godly view of living. I highly recommend this book as a beacon of light in the dark sea of Christian self-help/get rich quick/it's all about me books.

A must read

I didnt agree with everything but much of the book was enlightening and postive persepctive especially on marriage. It was also well written by a man you can tell loves the Lord and not only follows the word but interprets it well.....
